Dr. Md. Shawkat Emran obtained his MBBS degree from Comilla Medical College under Chittagong University. He completed his postgraduation (MD) in Neurology from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU). He is a 34th BCS (Health) cadre officer and currently serving as a Consultant at Chittagong Medical Collage Hospital.
He completed his postgraduation training in Neurology in Chittagong Medical College Hospital. He has also been trained in different allied departments of Neurology like Medicine and Psychiatry in CMCH; Pediatric Neurology in the Institute of Pediatric Neuro-disorders & Autism (IPNA), BSMMU; Neurophysiology (EEG, NCS, EMG) and Neuro-ICU in the National Institute of Neurosciences & Hospital (NINS).
He actively participates in different scientific seminars, symposiums, and workshops.
He has a keen interest in research works and has a good number of scientific publications.
Dr. Emran is a life member of the Society of Neurologists of Bangladesh (SNB) and Bangladesh Medical Association (BMA).
